We’re taking action on the F-35 today

Dear Ceasefire.ca supporter –

Today we are bringing one of the most respected critics of the F-35 stealth fighters directly from Washington to Ottawa.

Winslow T. Wheeler is a former security analyst for members of the U.S. Senate, and the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). You may have even heard him on CBC’s The Current or As It Happens recently.

He will be my guest at a press conference inside the Parliament Buildings, he will deliver a keynote speech at a downtown hotel, and he will meet privately with some of the country’s most influential journalists.

You can join us too. Contribute your question or comment when Winslow T. Wheeler debates Retired lieutenant-general Angus Watt on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET on the Globe and Mail‘s website.

None of this would be possible without the generous support we have received from people like you to our “No Stealth Fighters” campaign. We are more than halfway to reaching our fundraising goal of $15,000 for this stage of the campaign.

If you have made a donation already or if you are a member of our Peacekeepers monthly donor club, please accept my thanks.

If you haven’t sent a donation yet, or would like to help make the F-35 stealth fighters an election issue, please consider a special gift.

We are very happy to be hosting Winslow T. Wheeler in collaboration with our friends at the Physicians for Global Survival.

Watch for a story with Winslow T. Wheeler in the Globe and Mail, on CTV and CBC news programs, and his op-ed in major daily newspapers this week.

In peace,

Steven Staples, Ceasefire.ca

P.S. If you are near Ottawa, please join us at our event. Details are below.
