Drones debate is just getting started

Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s plan for armed drones is not much more than a faint blip on Ottawa’s radar screen, so the recent increase in media coverage on the subject is good news.

If you are passionate about making a positive change in the world by helping to ban nuclear weapons then please sign up to be a Ceasefire.ca volunteer campaigner.

A very generous Ceasefire.ca supporter has offered to match every donation made by other supporters, dollar for dollar, until we reach our goal. That’s incredible!

When you put all the pieces together, it’s clear that Harper wants to do a lot more than be able to send commandos, stealth fighters, and drones to fight wars around the world. Now he wants to sell billions in arms internationally, making Canada a global weapons dealer.

Britain’s electronic spy agency, Government Communications Headquarters, and its American counterpart, the National Security Agency, are working together to “Master the Internet”. Is the Communications Security Establishment Canada involved too?

I wanted to let you know about the progress we are making on our campaign to stop Stephen Harper’s armed drones plan.
