The U.S. failure to pursue accountability for key participants its torture program undermines the global struggle against impunity for torture. Canada’s failure to examine its actions in Afghanistan similarly undermines the effort to end torture. Canadians must continue to demand made-in-Canada accountability for the immoral and unconscionable acts committed in our name.
