The upcoming NATO Summit is expected to establish an expert group to study the future of the Alliance, providing a golden opportunity for Canada to ensure nuclear arms control and reduced reliance on nuclear weapons are part of the group’s remit.
It’s not too soon to start thinking about the upcoming federal election. We are working hard to ensure there will be vigorous debate of Canada’s new arms export policy, the lack of leadership on nuclear disarmament and the need to do much, much more in support of UN peacekeeping.
