Resumption of the Liberal minority Parliament on 27 January offers a golden opportunity for the Prime Minister and his government to build a progressive coalition in favour of tougher gun regulations, resumption of diplomatic relations with Iran and an export control policy that strengthens human rights and international law.
It’s not too soon to start thinking about the upcoming federal election. We are working hard to ensure there will be vigorous debate of Canada’s new arms export policy, the lack of leadership on nuclear disarmament and the need to do much, much more in support of UN peacekeeping.
