The Canadian Auto Workers’ staff have made a $15,000 donation to the Rideau Institute’s Ceasefire.ca program for 2013.

Annie Labaj, Director of the CAW’s International Department, noted that the Rideau Institute and Ceasefire.ca “have been and continue to be important allies to our union and the workers we represent,” noting that our work together will continue in the future.

The support from the CAW employees will be used to promote Canada as a peace leader in the international community.

I thought the CAW was an auto workers union? Why would the auto workers spend 15,000 of their hard earned dollars on this? It has no relevance to the CAW’s goal of protecting its workers.

That is funny, in one blog post you blast the Canadian Government possibly sending LAVs to Colombia and in another blog post you accept money from the Union that makes the LAVs.
